Who am I
My journey into the profession began in 2015 during my first pregnancy, when I wanted to do “everything right.” Healthy eating, exercise, preparing for childbirth - I dove into it headlong. The only thing I didn’t think about was what would happen to me after giving birth. As a result, the postpartum period turned out to be the most difficult period in my life. I lacked support, both emotional and physical. It seemed that I was left completely alone with my child and my “contrived” problems. Then I didn’t know that there was such a profession as a doula or lactation consultants, but I really wanted to become the kind of person who would support a woman on her path to confident, relaxed motherhood and harmonious postpartum recovery.
I know firsthand about the many difficulties with breastfeeding that mothers so often encounter. I know how sometimes it is not easy to accept that a child may need supplemental feeding.
At the end of 2018, our daughter was born. And in the summer of 2019, my family and I moved to Spain - the capital of many studies on motherhood and breastfeeding. To a country where women actively fight for their rights. Including the right to have a wonderful, healthy birth.
That’s how I ended up taking my first amazing course at the doula.link Institute of Perinatal Support, specializing in “Professional Doula,” and a little later on the “New Level” training course for lactation consultants. And away we go :)
Since then, I have been constantly in the process of learning to be able to provide my clients with the most up-to-date “working” information.
